Nordic Semiconductor
The hardware we use is entirely of European manufacture.
Nordic Semiconductor is the producer of a series of SoCs (System on a Chip) based on the ARM processor architecture, in which the processor is combined with radio hardware that can be used for, among other things, Bluetooth, WiFi and 5G networks.
Nordic is, as the name suggests, a Norwegian company. The ARM architecture they use was designed around 1985 by Acorn Risc Machine, an English company. Fortunately, the takeover of the British ARM by the American NVidia was stopped by the competition authorities. This means we are still able to work entirely with European products.
Xsens
Xsens is the manufacturer of the navigation sensors we use. It is a Dutch company and the sensor is therefore of Dutch design.
